The Enterprise Architect will be a part of a team that understands business strategies and defines the IT system architecture that supports the strategies. In this role, the Enterprise Architect will collaborate closely with technology owners to ensure that roadmaps are in place for key technologies and will provide project teams with guidance when new technology capabilities are required. The Enterprise Architect will have a forward looking view of various information technologies and provide recommendations on their adoption. This role is at the enterprise level of the Ashland organization and will report to the Manager, Enterprise Architecture. The position will be located in Lexington, KY, Dublin OH, or Wilmington, DE.
As Enterprise Architect, your job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Working with business and IT teams, insure that Architectural capabilities and strategies support and enable business objectives, as well as the project portfolio.
Working with business stakeholders, develop strategies for key platforms using current, emerging, and disruptive technologies.
Using the architectural governance process, including standards and guidelines, for the design of technology solutions.
As part of the strategic planning process, work closely with technology and business owners to develop multi-year architectural roadmaps for key technologies to ensure consistency across the entire enterprise.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technology trends and educating both IT and business partners on new capabilities that support key Ashland goals and objectives.
Communicating and advocating IT architecture and the roadmap to key IT and business stakeholders.
Providing technology research, advice and recommendations to project and operational teams.
Providing third party research for formal EA initiatives as well as general queries.
Maintaining a watch-list of, and developing position papers on, new or changing technologies that could impact Ashland.
As Enterprise Architect will have the following behavioral characteristics:

This position has the flexibility to be located in Lexington, KY, Dublin, OH, or Wilmington, DE.
Bachelors degree, preferably in computer science, engineering or other technical major; graduate degree a plus.
Minimum of seven years of experience in information systems design and deployment.
Three years of experience in IT architecture or system design related functions, strongly preferred.
Technical expertise across multiple IT disciplines.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
Proven experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through implementation.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including documentation skills.
Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization and gain consensus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
