This position will work within the Database Administration team to support the various database and application systems across multiple environments. This position will be based out of TQL Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, relocation available.
SQL Server 2008 and 2012 installations.
Maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Basic database design / architecture.
Documentation of database structure.
Responsible for database file systems, device lay out, backup and recovery procedures of all databases.
Writing, editing and optimizing moderately complex T-SQL statements for developers and SQL Reporting Services.
Tuning and performance of SQL Server Databases.
Monitor health and growth of SQL Server Databases.
Solid understanding and experience designing and managing high availability SQL environments (availability groups, clustering).
Good understanding of SAN disk technologies.
Experience with Idera or other monitoring tools.
Ability to perform other IT operational duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
A minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in SQL Server.
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading SQL database efforts.
Experience with SQL database upgrades.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Possess a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies including .NET, SQL Server and reporting solutions.
Have a strong proven track record of success.
Knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and 2012.
SQL Server Analysis Services (2008 and.r 2012) designing and building cubes.
Knowledge of SQL Server clusters.
Basic understanding of views, stored procedures and proper use of functions.
Working knowledge of Windows 2008 and 2012.
Superior problem solving skills.
Continuing education in IT technology.
Disaster recovery planning and execution.
