Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required


Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required


Excellent communication and customer service skills required-must be comfortable and professional in interacting with clients, office staff, and patients.


Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of recent phlebotomy experience.

Prefers candidates with experience collecting specimens from patients of all ages, including newborn and pediatric patients.

Preference also will be given to those with 5 or more yrs of experience.


Must be able to use a computer to enter patient and billing information both quickly and accurately.

A data entry test will be required
at the time of application.

A passing score of at least 3000KSPH and a 10% or less error rate will be required in order to be considered for the position.


Will be required to pass a written phlebotomy test and successfully perform a mock venipuncture draw at the time of interview.

Description:
LabCorp is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a full time position in Lexington, KY. Will work 8AM-12PM at our client site and 1PM-5PM at our Patient Service Center on Monday and Thursday. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday will work 9:15AM-5:45PM at the Patient Service Center.
If you love to interact with patients and play a role in their overall healthcare experience, as our Phlebotomist, you'll be able to do just that. Our technology is second to none in the industry, and you'll work with new electronic reporting and accuracy tools, allowing you to focus on your patients and increase your success rates. Along with patient collection and obtaining specimens for processing, you'll pack and ship specimens as well as prepare samples. Your daily interaction with patients and sense of ownership will be essential to our success.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
