This Plant HR Specialist will be located at this expanding plant northeast of Lexington, KY and would need to have at least 5 years of manufacturing recruiting and HR experience and a Bachelors Degree and PHR/SPHR are preferred. Will handle all Human Resource administrative duties at this plant at the direction of the Plant Manager and the VP of HR.

Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
Acts as a subject matter expert regarding the Team Member Handbook.
Provide a visible presence on the production floor.
Performs customer service functions by answering Team Member requests and questions on all shifts, work hours must be flexible.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Share areas of concern and ideas for improvement with management team.
Coordinates employee recognition programs.
Conducts exit interviews and provides data to the Plant Manager and VP of HR.
Assists Plant Manager and VP of HR with projects, monthly reporting and investigations.
Staffing
Assists with interview and hiring process.
Assist in selection of temporary labor agencies and facilitates productive relationship. Provide guidance regarding utilization and hiring of temporary team members.
Facilitates a positive working relationship with all temporary agencies.
Conducts new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment for new plant employees.
Facilitate relationships within the community to provide alternate recruiting options.
Administration
Maintains current and accurate employee data.
Track and maintain HR Metrics to include, but not limited to, headcount (regular and temp), turnover, cost per hire, and training hours
Assists in processing of all employment actions including, but not limited to, hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
Assists VP of HR with audits of various payroll, benefit or other HR programs.
Assist in ensuring that all hourly Team Member job descriptions are on file and current.
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by Plant Manager and VP of HR.
Training and Development
Assist VP of HR in Facilitating completion of annual performance review process.
Recommend training needs for plant. Assist in coordinating training event.
Creates and maintains annual training plan and reports on progress to Plant Manager and VP of HR.
Safety
Acts as Safety Coordinator for the facility
Facilitates completion of monthly training to the published schedule
Participates as a member of the safety committee and the job hazard analysis team
Maintains safety records including training documentation, safety committee meeting minutes, safety scorecard and other safety records
Lead efforts to communicate and rewards safety efforts
Participates in the monthly safety coordinator call.
Acts as a liaison to corporate regarding all injury, illness, and incident reports.
Monitor safety practices and processes
Coordinate and deliver safety training according to established plan.
Comp & Benefits
Assist team members with minor benefit inquiries and issue resolution.
Assist in the administration of the uniform program.

OTHER IMPORTANT KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelors Degree and PHR/SPHR are preferred
Knowledge of applicable laws and legal requirements.
Knowledge of OSHA and related training.
Proficiency in MS Office Products.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and to develop trusting relationships in order to achieve results.
Ability to be self directed, and to employ initiative to identify and anticipate client needs.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to meet deadlines.
Ability to work non-traditional hours.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
