Procurement Manager

Senior Procurement & Production Planning Manager needed for consumer products client near Lexington, KY. You will play an integral role in the efficient and cost effective negotiation and purchasing of raw materials for manufacturing, sourcing and procurement of finished goods. You will have 5 direct reports and should have experience supervising others in a supply chain setting. Plant level experience in a manufacturing setting is required. Experience in consumer products is a plus.
Responsibilities for the Procurement Manager
Direct production scheduling roles while maximizing cost efficiencies
Collaborate with Product Development team to coordinate domestic and Asian sourcing of new products, raw materials and packaging
Analyze cost breakdowns, negotiate contracts, purchase new and alternative materials and control purchase procedure
Ensure all production schedules are maintained on a timely basis according to demand forecasts
Requirements for the Procurement Manager
Bachelor degree preferred
5
years in Supply Chain role (procurement or production planning)
Experience supervising others in supply chain setting
Consumer products experience a plus
Plant level experience required
