The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness. As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through:
provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc. Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. This supports the organizational goal of 80% of all nurses obtaining a bachelor's degree or higher by 2020. - Basic Life Support - ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
