Work as Needed Looking for a direct support professional to provide personal assistance services for a gentleman inLexington, KY! The position is part-time and the schedule includes working every Saturday and every other Sunday.
This is also a PRN staff position meaning the employee will work as needed when the main personal assistant is unavailable.
Generally, Personal Assistance will enable a person to accomplish tasks that the person normally would do for himself or herself, if he or she did not have a disability.
Personal assistance tasks include, but are not limited to:
hands-on personal assistance (assistance with hygiene, cooking, cleaning and tidying up the apartment, morning and evening routines such as checking the mail, etc); assistance with monitoring any medical concerns that could lead to health risks, and assistance with going out into the community for various activities such as shopping for groceries or medication, or going to the mall.
Employees will be required to pass various background checks, a drug test, become FA/CPR certified within six months of employment, complete yearly TB screenings, and submit other various documents to remain eligible as per Medicaid guidelines.
