We are seeking a Financial Analyst to assist with critical responsibilities that support the College Business Analyst and Department Chair.
This position will work closely with the Department Chair to ensure charges to the general and gift accounts have the approval of the chair or based on release funds from the Primary Investigator (PI).
The position will prepare analytical spreadsheets based on information from various accounting systems (e.
g.
BW, Tableau, etc.
) to provide financial information to the Business Officer and department Chair in the formats that facilitate forward planning and increased audit control/oversight.
The Financial Analyst will reconcile all cost center charges (e.
g.
general funds, endowments, gifts, start up accounts, etc.
) and integrate into department budget tracking/planning system.
Data analytics assistance will be provided as needed to PIs on department external grants for budget control, summary and planning purposes.
Additionally, this position will be a back-up to assist with monitoring student payroll and run reports to ensure efficient processing and timely corrections are made as well as provide occasional administrative assistance to the chair.
