20 Job Summary We are currently seeking a highly organized and creative Part-Time Communications Coordinator to join our team at the College of Design.
This temporary position will not exceed 20 hours per week and will play a vital role in managing internal and external communications, with a strong emphasis on social media management.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Social Media Management:
Take charge of Instagram posting, creating engaging and relevant content that reflects the College's vision and values.
Monitor comments and messages on Instagram, responding promptly and professionally to foster positive interactions with followers.
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the College's online presence and engage with the target audience effectively.
2.
Manage Communications Platforms:
Update and maintain Outlook groups with new email addresses to ensure accurate and up-to-date contact information.
Forward emails to relevant audiences as advised by department chairs and other faculty, ensuring effective communication within the College community.
Collaborate with department chairs and other faculty to write and edit compelling content for emails, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in messaging.
Work closely with the graphic designer to bring content to life, creating visually appealing email templates and graphics.
Review and edit website content before posting to maintain consistency in tone, style, and accuracy.
Please Note:
This is a part-time temporary position with an estimated maximum of 20 hours per week.
The responsibilities listed above are subject to change based on the evolving needs of the College of Design.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or communications.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
Familiarity with email management tools, such as Outlook, and experience with listservs is a plus.
Proficiency in social media platforms, especially Instagram, and a keen understanding of current trends in social media marketing.
Basic knowledge of website content management systems ( CMS ) is desirable.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
