Offer clear and standardized interpretations and reports of cytologic findings for convenient access when making decisions about patient care.
Under the guidance of the cytology supervisor, examine patient samples microscopically to evaluate cellular material.
Inspect the prepped cell samples for any irregularities and take note of any observations that may suggest an urgent danger.

Job Requirements Perform a microscopic examination of the slides to detect cellular change and prepare initial findings Work with numerous laboratory specimen preparations and possess knowledge of laboratory procedures and technologies such as cellular image analysis, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular diagnostic procedures Perform microscopic evaluation of cytologic specimens with few discrepancies following laboratory procedures and workload policies Maintain the confidentiality of information relative to the laboratory Evaluate cytology techniques like Pap staining and provide readings to scientists on the project Recommended Skills Confidentiality Flow Cytometry Image Analysis Immunohistochemistry Molecular Diagnostics Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
