Shift Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Job Summary The Office for Student Success at the University of Kentucky is accepting applications for a Student Wellness Advisor I within the Disability Resource Center.
Under the working title of Disability Resource Center Accommodation Consultant, this position will manage a caseload of 300-500 eligible students with various disabilities to evaluate student medical, psychological and education reports and determine appropriate academic and non-academic accommodations to eligible students with disabilities; apply knowledge of federal disability law to ensure equal access for students; address accessibility issues on campus that might provide barriers to students and members of the university community; work with students and UK Housing to develop strategies for living at the university The position also serves in a consultive nature by assisting faculty with the provision of accommodation and developing alternative methods of equitable instruction; mediate issues between students and faculty regarding the provision of disability related accommodations; and meet with faculty, other university staff and to educate on disability awareness issues and disability rights under federal law.
