Construction Accountant

The Construction Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting and finance operations for construction projects.
This includes working with project managers to track project costs, preparing invoices for customers, and performing the financial close process.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects.
Maintain and reconcile project budgets.
Process payments to vendors/subcontractors.
Prepare JE's.
Review project bids and estimates to ensure accurate price quotes.
Prepare and reconcile daily, weekly, monthly reports and statements.
Reconcile Bank accounts monthly.
Produce monthly financial statements with a detailed budget vs.
actual analysis in a timely manner.
Produce annual budgets.
Maintains a cash forecast and manages day to day activities to meet the financial obligations of the organization.
Oversee the payroll submission process to ensure accuracy.
Attend Development and Operational team meetings regularly and provide accurate up to date reporting for weekly job cost vs budget analysis.
Monitor compliance with government regulations related to construction finance.
Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

years of proven work experience in Job Cost/Construction Accounting.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting, AIA forms, including cost controls, job costing, and profit and loss accounting.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Ability to multitask.
Attention to detail.
Must pass all pre-employment testing including but not limited to drug testing and background screening.
