The successful candidate will work from home and ideally live in ERIE's West Region.
This includes Illinois, Indiana, Fort Wayne, Kentucy, Canton, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience in either personal or commercial liability.
The successful candidate will need to obtain their Kentucky license within 90 days of their transition date and any other licenses that may be required as the business need arises.
Duties and Responsibilities Conducts investigations, evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability Handles claims involving complex liability , damages or coverages.
Negotiates with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.
Douments the file and submits reports.
Identifies subrogation opportunities and initiates appropriate action.
Completes required training.
The position requires the incumbent to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
Trains and mentors.
Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
Five years casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.
Broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of liability coverages, laws and injuries required.
Position requires incumbents to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.
Travel for training may be required.
Valid driver's license required.
