The incumbent performs a variety of Food Service Duties in support of the VCS food service operations. He/she may be assigned to perform duties in any of the following areas: kitchen, deli bar or salad bar, coffee shop, and serving lines and other duties as assigned by supervisor. In each assigned area and consistent with VCS food standards, guidelines and instructions, the incumbent assists with preparation, presentation, and serving of food items.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 30 hours per week.
Relocation Expenses: Relocation expensesare not authorized for this position.
Qualifying
Experience:
Ability to read and interpret instructions and perform simple calculations used in food preparation. Experience in the food service industry, including experience with operating/cleaning kitchen equipment or facilites, knowledge of proper food handling and food sanitation procedures, and customer service training, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work requires constant standing, bending, stooping, and stretching with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.
