Nestle is hiring an Auto Palletizer Operator to work at our Mt. Sterling, KY location!
Operates and maintains auto-palletizing equipment under supervision of Production Supervisor with the guidance of other members of operations, maintenance, and plant management.
Environmental Factors and physical requirements:
Work in a consistently damp, cold and/or hot environment with a noise exposure of 90.6 db. Must wear personal protective equipment. Job requires associate to safely lift 75 pounds. Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -10 degrees F to room temperature.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Timely communication of all operational and/or safety issues to Team Leader to avoid accidents and unnecessary downtime. Any issues that may adversely affect start-up, cause downtime, or could result in an accident are the responsibility of the Palletizer Operator to communicate to the Team Leader and/or other managers immediately.
2. Daily inspection of Palletizer equipment, conveyors, guards, and limit switches to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
3. Timely preflight of Palletizer and related equipment and conveyors to ensure Palletizer is ready to palletize product before line start time.
4. Turn machine on/off correctly, properly operate, and read all displays and menus.
5. Monitor printing continuously for legibility and accuracy.
6. Check Day Code and hour code information on incoming cases at all times.
7. Ensure that tie and height of pallets are correct.
8. Monitor case gluing continuously to ensure that all flaps are properly sealed.
9. Quickly, safely, and efficiently clears jams and resets Palletizer so that downtime is avoided.
10. Actively search for ways to work around problems including accumulating product when appropriate.
11. Work around Palletizer downtime by hand stacking cases.
12. Maintain housekeeping, GMP, quality and safety standards in area at all times.
13. Inspect area at shifts end and ensure that area is left neat and orderly.
14. Report production and complete all specified paperwork in a timely, accurate manner and deliver paperwork to designated locations at shifts end.
15. Adherence to plant attendance policies.
16. Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow team members and other departments.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
