Nestl is hiring an Industrial Technician (Electrician) in Mt. Sterling, KY!
POSITION
Summary: This position will perform electrical maintenance in a food manufacturing facility.
There are three levels of Electrical Mechanic: Skilled, Multi-Skilled, and Technician.
Environmental Factors: slippery or uneven surfaces, working with hands in water, working closely with others, steam and hot surfaces, loud machinery environment, refrigerated 45 - 55 degree Fahrenheit environment, moving objects or vehicles, wet environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Must complete Arch Flash, Lockout-Tag out, and other Safety Training applicable to this position.
Adhere to all Safety regulations Company Nestle, NEC and OSHA applicable to this position.
Must have good communication skills both written and verbal as well as basic computer skills.
Test electrical components using ammeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other equipment.
Read and follow blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot equipment and other circuits.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels as well as repair or replace faulty wiring, equipment, and
fixtures.
Must have or acquire knowledge of PLC's, HMI's, motion controls, and measuring instruments.
Evaluate and provide troubleshooting assistance to production as needed.
This is a continuous growth position and training will be provided.
Knowledge of the maintenance fundamentals.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair on electrical panels, small transformers, or any other electrical equipment.
Responsible for maintaining electrical safety and integrity on all equipment.
Able to work with basic hand tools. (Basic knowledge and safety)
Physically able to perform Haz-Mat tasks and understanding of chemical labeling.
Documentation of daily duties and tasks.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must meet minimum testing requirements as defined by Nestl of Mt. Sterling, KY
Intermediate math aptitude and detail orientation
Working knowledge of Lock out Tag out system
Be able to read and comprehend what is read
Have Good Manufacturing Practices
Intermediate communications and interpersonal skills
Good mechanical and electrical skills
All other duties as directed
Ability to follow specificationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
