This expanding automotive supplier is looking for a Production Specialist with at least three years of progressive experience that has provided exposure to direct line supervision in an industrial environment with customer contact. This position will provide direct floor supervision to the production process; administer documentation and record keeping; interact with the customer and parts suppliers in the absence of the Production Manager; engage in problem-solving activities; provide leadership to sequencing operations, material handling functions. This plant has 85 employees, company is privately held and headquartered in KY. There will be shift rotation involved with this job.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Work with the Production Manager on all personnel issues, staffing needs, work schedules and problem resolution.
Assist in establishing vacation and overtime schedules for team members.
Assist in production and sequencing schedules.
Work with team leaders; participate in the training of all team members.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of TS 16949 status.
Be visible on the shop floor involved with team members to provide guidance and/or support.
Maintain records, documentation, and results against established goals in all Key Performance areas.
Communicate performance results to all team members on a regular basis, acting as necessary to improve deficient areas.
Acts as Safety Coordinator for facility in absence of HR Specialist
Management or supervisory experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with MS Office products required.
Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which entrusted.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
