An American global diversified industrial company is currently seeking a Mechanical Drafter to produce designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems in Lexington, KY. This is a 6 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, no per diem available.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Drafter
Document parts and bills of materials
Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices
Requirements for the Mechanical Drafter
AS Degree in mechanical or electrical design from an accredited technical school
3
years of practical experience in a design or manufacturing role preferred or will consider strong candidates with experience working in and leading projects as part of college course curriculum
Understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and CAD and able to apply those principles to assigned design tasks
Hands-on experience using ProE or similar CAD package
Software coding knowledge is a plus
