The International Tax Manager will have two major focus areas: U.S. outbound international tax matters and tax issues involving business operations in Latin America and Canada. Listed below are the types of activities over which the successful candidate will have responsibility in each of the two areas.
U.S. outbound international tax matters:
Researching and documenting the U.S. tax aspects of international tax planning ideas and other issues as they arise.
Working with Tax Department colleagues in Europe and Asia to ensure the U.S. tax implications of matters happening in those geographies are properly addressed.
Providing tax support for the post-acquisition integration of non-U.S. entities.
Preparing and/or reviewing the international portions of the U.S. tax returns (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118).
Assisting with the U.S. outbound international tax aspects of the IRS audit.
Providing consultative advice and guidance as needed with respect to the U.S. transfer pricing rules (IRC Section 482).
Working with Treasury and Legal departments on foreign cash initiatives.
Business operations in Latin America and Canada.
Providing tax support to the local personnel as issues arise, including coordinating the efforts to respond to income tax audits of any of the entities in Latin America and Canada.
Working with local personnel and outside advisors to identify and implement tax planning ideas.
Ensuring the income tax returns of the entities in the respective countries are prepared and filed in a timely manner.
Assisting the Global Transfer Pricing Manager with any transfer pricing issues that affect the operations in Latin America and Canada.
Masters degree in Tax or Law
Minimum of 7 years of experience in either a corporate tax department or in the tax practice of a professional services firm.
Strong skills in researching U.S. income tax issues, including the ability to find relevant authorities governing an issue, evaluate those authorities, and reach a conclusion that can be used to provide guidance regarding the tax implications of Lexmark's business operations.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work with people from all areas of the company and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ability to think creatively and to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Desired:
Prior experience that is relevant to some or all of the activities that the successful candidate will be involved in with this position.
Experience using Corp Tax.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
