This job is responsible for trust fund accounting for Health & Welfare, Pension and other employee benefit funds. The work is somewhat complex and requires attention to detail and ability to analyze results. General Ledger used is Great Plains Dynamics. Work occasionally requires overtime.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
Performs account reconciliations and analyses
Prepares journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
Involved in the monthly / quarterly 'close' process. Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
Advanced or expert skill set in Microsoft Excel (create spreadsheets, pivot tables, create formulas, filter)
Soft Skills:
Good communication skills and demonstrated teamwork abilities
